ADVOCACY BY IMPORTER®. (Per Press Association,. WELLINGTON, November 22. “There is only one way to deal with the present situation in New Zealand,” declared Mr W. A. Boucher (president of the Bureau of Importers) in an interview, “and that is to free exchange and allow the control of bank operations to return to the commercial banks.” 'Mr Boucher said the policy of wholesale commercial murder was vigorously protested against by importers in January last. They got very little comfort from the Government, and on one occasion were contemptuously referred to as “squealing” importers. On approaching the Minister for Finance (the Hon. W. Nash) for further information to pass' on to English manufacturers whose business had been destroyed in Nfew Zealand, they were told they could keep on guessing.
