CREW OF PENSILVA.. SHTP SUNK BY TORPEDO. z (Deceived This Day, 1.45 p.m.) LONDON, November 20. . Thirty-four members of the crew df the !Pen Silva were landed from a warship at a port on the west coast of England. They declared they sighted the periscope of the submarine and sent out an SOS. They put off hurriedly in boats, fearing an attack. But as "nothing happened for an hour they started rawing bade to the ship, when a torpedo exploded amidships.
