DOMINION MINISTERS.
THE MAGINOT LINE EXPLORED. LUNCH 175 FEET UNDERGROUND. LONDON, November 15. The special representative of the Associated Press reports that Mr It. G. Casey, P. Fraser and other Dominion Ministers explored the Maginot Lino yesterday. Thick fog prevailed and tho German positions half a mile distant were barely visible. No shells were fired, contrasting with the previous night, when 1000 shells were exchanged on this sector. The Dominion Ministers throughout their tour have not seen a shot fired in anger. Tho strength of the front lino and the efficiency and alertness of the officers and men are most impressive and inspired confidence. The talk ot the French officers is always of tanks and the methods of defeating them. Tho Ministers wore given a. rousing reception at a 'British aerodrome, where the pilots described the manner in which' they brought down the most recent German victim. They also showed the Ministers trophies of their battles. The Ministers had lunch in tho fortifications 17b feet underground. Mr Casey bought cigarettes at ;a. canteen 150 feet. down. A French army officer at the lunch table pinned his troop’s badge on Mr Eden’s lapel, and also on the other Ministers. Tho badge is inscribed : “They Shall Not Pass.”
