MAN KILLED IN QUARRY
CAUGHT BY FALL OF STONE. (Per Press Association). ROTORUA, November 15. Hector Wiring!, aged 33, married, a labourer, was killed to-day while working in a quarry at Mamakau. Stripping was proceeding high up on the face of the quarry when suddenly a large section slipped away, burying Wiring!. Three other men. who were working nearby heard a cry of warning given by a man higher un the quarry face in time to run clear but Wiring! was caught. He was quickly extricated, bj.it. his Lack appeared to lie broken, and lie died while, on the wav to the Rotorua Hospital.
