The Warsaw correspondent of the United Press of America states that the United States Ambassador (Mr Biddle), his wife and daughter had a narrow escape when a German ‘plane bombed Mr Biddle’s suburban villa. The United States Embassy said it appeared to have been a deliberate attack, since the bombs were released in a low-power dive. Mr Biddle and his family were not injured. The villa was partially unroofed, the windows shattered, and an adjoining villa destroyed. The Ambassador has cabled a report to President Roosevelt, confirming the United Press report.
