EQUAL TO THE WORLD’S BEST. (United Press Association— Copyright. '-LONDON, July 8. Tho Secretary for Air (Sir Kingsley Wood), speaking in Shrophsire, said that, helped by scientific invention, Britain now possessed formidable forms of defence which would make ajiy air attack on Britain a highly dangerous operation. “Tho machines now going into service,” ho said, “are cetrainly as good as the best anywhere in the world.” Some indication of the British efforts could be obtained from the fact that nearly £2,000,000 a. week was being spent on aircraft alone.—British Official Wireless,
