MARKED IMPROVEMENT MADE.
(Per Press Association). WELLINGTON, This Day. “Wool prices are rising and the Australian growers are very optimistic about the coming season/’ said Mr G. R. Rennie, of Doyleston, Canterbury, who has been across to the Sydney sales, disposing of some sheep lie took over.
He said a marked improvement was being made in the Australian lamb for export and there was no doubt Australia would become an increasingly important competitor with New Zealand in the export meat trade.
