MINIATURE RIFLES.

THE METHVEN CLUB’S SHOOT. The Methven Miniature Rifle Club held its weekly shoot on Saturday night, when a, series of trophy matches were keenly competed. On the whole the standard of shooting was good. Details are:—

Mr J. IS. Carr’s trophy—J. Rouse 77, 76 (8) 161; winner, W. M. Holland; R. L/Haskett 76, 77 (5) 158; W. Lumsden 76, 77 (4) 157; B. J. Watson 74, 75 (8) 157; T. Middleton 76, 73 (5) 154.

W. M. Holland registered the highest score in a match for Mr H. E. Jessep’s trophy with 80, 79 (3) 162. Next best were: E. J. Watson 74, 78 (8), 160; J'. E. Carr 79, 79 (2), 160 ; and W. Lumsden 79, 77 (2) 158. The hotty button was won by J. E. Carr. W. M. Holland with 79 was runner-up. E. J. Watson registered 78 and W. Lumsden 77.
