THE WATERSIDERS’ AWARD. (Per Press Association). WELLINGTON, March 13. An incident that occurred during the loading of the Port Gisborne at Wellington on January 13, 1938, had a sequel in the Ai’bitration Court to-day, when an appeal was made from the decision of Mr J. H. Luxford, S.M., who found in fay our of a* gang of wateraiders who were charged with a breach of the waterside workers’ award. The men refused to work during the tea hour and Gannaway and Co,, stevedores, sought to recover from W. Anderson and 11 others £5 each for refusing to continue loading the Port Gisborne during that hour. After hearing legal argument on the Magistrate’s decision, the Court reserved its decision.
