CROQUET.
PLAYERS ATTEND SOCIAL. ' * y Members of the Ashburton Croquet Club were the guests of the president (Mrs Pf W. Watt) and the captain (Mi’s J. F.. Cleary) at a social afternoon recently. Those present were entertained at afternoon tea, and the hostesses gave, prizes for competitions which were won as follows: —Seniors, Mrs L. C. Dunn and Mrs J. T. Smith, intermediate,'Mrs Samuels and Mrs A. Arnos; juniors, Mrs Taylor and Mrs A. C. Robinson. The hostesses were thanked by Mrs D. Heenan.
