ASHBURTON A. AND P. ASSOCIATION. ELECTION FOR THE COMMITTEE. Nominations for officers for the Ashburton Agricultural and Pastoral Association this year have closed. Mr J. Lowery, of Tinwald, was the only nomination for the position of president, and has therefore been elected unopposed. There will be no election necessary for the vice-presidency, Mr T. J. Bell, of Wheatstone, being the only one nominated. Twenty-nine nominations have been received for the committee, 24 being the required number. Voting closes on Saturday, March 25.
