NEW BRITISH HEAVY-WEIGHT. HARVEY BEATS PHILLIPS. (Received This Day, 9.25 a.m.) LONDON, December 1. Austin Harvey won the British heavy-weight championship from Eddie Phillips, who was disqualified for low hitting in the fourth round, after having narrowly missed being knocked out. Harvey out-fought his opponent throughout. Harvey is seeking a world title fight with either Joe Louis or John Henry Lewis.
