Villcneuve),. addressing the Board of Trade. .He condemned Nazism' and Fascism as the enslavement of man. , ( T The Church, lie .said,'was not, blind to the dangers'of Fascism,' btit, nevertheless, it was not fair to place Signor Mussolini and Herr Hitler on the same moral plane, especially, since Signor Mussolini’s contribution’ at Munich toward averting war. - 1 . It. was not within the sphere of the Church to condemn or. approve any form of government, but it was its duty to protest against any system violating Christianity. Thus the. Church was neutral toward the Social Credit, Liberal, and Conservative Parties. Rich and poor must dwell harmoniously. If the workers were encouraged to look toward ownership, the gulf between vast wealth and poverty would be partly bridged.
