DUNEDIN COUPLE’S CELEBRATION. MESSAGE FROM THETR MAJESTIES. (Per Press Association.) 1 DUNEDIN, Dec. 1. An event almost unique uas the celebration in Dunedin to-day by - * and Mrs John Coombs, of North Eas Valley, of the sixty-eighth anniversary of their wedding. Mr Coomhes is m his ninotioth year and Mrs Cooni is in her ninety-third. Mrs Coombs landed at Port Chalmers by the Mariner in 1849 and .Mr Coombs bv the Josephine Willis at Auckland in 1850. Both Mr and Mrs Coombs enjoy the best of health.
Messages of congratulation wore received from the King and Queen, Lord and Lady Galway, the Prime Minister and the Mayor of Dunedin.
