The committee of the Rakaia Girl Guide Company held a special meeting to consider the formation of a local guide association. Mrs D. S. Studholmc (Divisional Commissioner) explained the use and advantage of an association, hut it was decided, because of the small number present, to leave the question over until next year, when it will be settled at he annual meeting.
Mesdames L. 0. Oakley, S. Wright., C. Harrison, T. Hardy, A. Burns, and G. Haslett were added to the committee.
Mrs Studholmc gave a talk on “Guiding in. Other Countries, ’ in which she mentioned the Coronation camp held in Essex last year, and its object of making guiding international, so as to bring about a better understanding among the nations. Mrs W. Shellock presided.
