The Berlin correspondent of the “Daily Telegraph” says that the secret police, alarmed at the signs of dissatisfaction, arrested throughout Germany fifty people who were prominent in political life before the Nazi regime. Those arrested are likely to be charged with preparing high treason by encouraging “workers grousing campaigns.” They include Dr. Luppe, former Lord Mayor of Nuremberg, Franz Ivuenstler, former chairman of the Social Democratic Party, Dr. Herman Brill and Otto Brass, former Social Democratic!
