The Foreign Minister (Count Ciauo) toldi the Chamber of Deputies that Italy had mobilised 300,000 additional troops to fight on the side of Germany if war had broken ont in September. The Count added that the AngloItalian Pact was an effective contribution to the consolidation of peace. It took a new account of th 6 now realities of European, Mediterranean, and African situations, settling in a basis most absolute British and Italian moral, political, and military equality.
