ENTERTAINMENTS.
ST. JAMES THEATRE. The Bitz Brothers are starred for the first time in “Life Begins in College,” 20th Century-Fox musical hit. featuring Joan Davis, Tony Martin and Gloria Stuart and a noteworthy east. A hilarious jamboree, “Life Begins at Collegia,” contains all the essential elements for a gay, entertaining hit —gags, girls and fun. The cast also includes Fred Stone, Nat Pendleton, Ed Thorgersen, Dick Baldwin, Joan Marsh, Dixie Dunbar, Jed Prouty, Maurice Cass, Marjorie Weaver and J. C. Nugent, screening in conjunction with “Boots and Saddles,” commencing this evening at the St. James. The screen play moves with zest and speed from one riotous situation to another, with the three Ritz circus unloading the niftiest comedy gags of their careers. The popular Western star Gene Autry, is the principal player in “Boots and Saddles,” a thrill-packed adventure romance.
CARD PARTY AT TINWALD. The Tinwald Anglican Boys’ Bible Class held a successful card tournament in aid of their camp funds in the Parish Hall. The Rev. H. A. Childs and Miss Colleen Hewson won prizes.
Rear-Admiral Mario Fincati, who. as chief of the Argentine Naval Commission in Europe, lias supervised the construction of the training cruiser and destroyers built in British shipyards for the Argentine Navy during the last two years, has been appointed Chief of the Argentine Sen Fleet. He will be succeeded in London by Captain ,fose Si. Zulonga, who will take up his duties in December,
