THE POPE AGAIN ILL.
NO IMMEDIATE DANGER. / ALL AUDIENCES SUSPENDED. (United Press Association —Copyright. (Deceived This Day, 10.5 a.m.) VATICAN CITY, November 25. It is stated that the Pope is ill but there is no immediate danger. He has been counselled to rest and all audiences have been suspended. Dr. Milani, the Pope’s doctor, says that His Holiness is a little better. He is optimistic, but naturally everything depends on the resistance of the heart.
A SECOND STROKE SUFFERED. UNCONSCIOUS 15 MINUTES. (Independent Cable Service.) (Received This Day, 10.40 a.m.) ROME, November 25. An official bulletin says: “The Pope, After celebrating Mass, was stricken unexpectedly with an attack of cardiac asthma, which has been ameliorated. Drs. Docehi and Milani immediately gave assistance.” It it understood that the Pope collapsed and was unconscious for several minutes, but reacted to restoratives. Shortly after noon the Pope was placed in an oxygen tent. The Pope had another stroke at 5.30 p.m. Dr. Milani administered emergency treatment. The Pope was unconscious about 15 minutes. Virtually all the pope’s relatives are at the bedside.
