FARMER KILLED BY MOWER.
TE AWAMUTU, November 25
A well-known farmer in the Korakonui district, Mr Alfred Joseph Duffell, a married man, aged 55, was fatally injured yesterday evening. Mr Duffell had been making ensilage. When he was harnessing a team of horses they became frightened and bolted. He made an unsuccessful grab at the reins and fell under the mower. He was terribly injured, and 1 death was practically instantaneous. At the inquest a verdict was returned of accidental death through beisng run over by a hay mower.
