CHOIR BANQUET.
THE BARING SQUARE CHURCH. The annual banquet of the Baring Square Methodist Church Choir was held last evening and the function was thoroughly enjoyed by the GO people present. The Riev. A. Aloßean presided, and the following toast list was honoured : “The King” the chairman ; “The Methodist Chuireh,” Air K. G. ]? rnv ]< c _r>ev. Mr A. Mcßean ; “The Choir and Choirmaster’’ Mr C. Bishop Messrs H. A. Humphreys and J. W - Baker; “Tire Trustees,” Mrs A. Black —Mr W. H. Higgins; “The Ladies,” Mr A. I’. Warriner— Mrs L. Hopkins; “Visitors and Past Choir Alombers,’ Mr W. T. Coirbott —Alessrs W. T. Foatherston and K. Robinson.
A splendid musical programme was arranged and items were given as follow :—Elocution, Aliss E. L. Robinson ; song. Airs W. R. Foatherston; song, MmC. Hopwood; instrumental item, Messrs C. Hopwood, H. Hayward, .T. Hayward, B. Alillor, and R. Argvle. The accompaniste was Aliss R. Porter. The function was terminated with the singing of “Auld Lang Syne.
