PUBLIC NOTICES, ASHBURTON BOROUGH COUNCIL. NOTICE RESPECTING PROPOSED ALTERATIONS OE BOUNDARIES —BOROUGH OF ASHBURTON. IT B LIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Ashburton Borough Council proposes to Petition the Governor-General, praying that the Boundaries of the Borough be altered so as to include such adjacent lands as are set out in the Schedule. SCHEDULE. All that area in the Canterbury Land District bounded by a line commencing at a point on the left bank of the Ashburton River, being the North-Western Corner of the Borough, thence in a north-westerly direction along the left bank of the River to the north-western corner of R.S. 20864, thence north-easterly to the western side of Alford: Forest Road, thence northerly to the southern side of Farm Road, along Farm Road to the south-westerly side of Winter’s Road, thence in a southeasterly direction to the south-east-ern side of Allen’s Road, along Allen’s Road to the Wakanui Creek, down the Wakanui Creek to the dividing fence between Lots 154 and 155, thence north-easterly to Racecourse Road on the south-western side, along Racecourse Road to West Street, thence along the south-west-ern side of West Street to a point at right angles to the Borough Boundary on East Street, across the Railway Line and Eiast Street to such point, thence along the existing Borough Boundary adjoining the land affected, to the place of commencement.
