GRADE. , At the conclusion of tlio first l'oiimi of senior Oracle matches in tin* Ashburton Cricket Sub-Association’s competition Y Fairfield is the loading temu, having gained one live-point win and three three-point u ins. The team has had only one loss, one of its matches resulting in a draw. Old, Boys lie second with 12 points, secured by four three-point wins. Fairfield won the senior competition last year and constitute a strong combination again this season. Lauriston has not been defeated in the junior grade and has a comfortable lead of five points over Technical, which is second* in the competition. High School follows closely, this team having shown considerable improvement sinoe tlve beginning of the season. The first round has not yet been completed, as the competition commenced a week later than the senior grade, and there arc eight teams in the section.
