Welsh is illegal in a British Court of Law, due to an edict of Henry VIII who himself was of Welsh descent. Pennies form a very large proportion of tlve output of the Royal Mint. Last year 258,000.000 coins 'were issued ; of these, 109.000,000 were pennies.
