TRAINING FOR BATTLE.
ITALIAN CHILDREN. LONDON, October 26 Italy has decided on conscription for the whole of the rising generation by forming the “Italian children of the Lictor.” They will be prepared for the nation’s service at adolescence. The Government’s slogan is “Catch them young and mould them mental’j r and physically for battle and for national life.” Under the present system, 300,000 rniths are called up annually from schools, offices and other places to serve for 1.8 months.
