WOMEN’S DIVISION.
LYNNFORD BRANCH MEETING. There was a good attendance at the monthly meeting of the Lynnford branch of the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union, held in the school, the president (Mrs H. Johnston) presiding. Mr R. Cairns (Ashburton) gave an interesting talk and display of carpets. Competitions resulted: Juniors: Sausage rolls, Misses A. Heaven 1, H. Bishop 2, N. Johnston 3. Peg-hag, Misses J. Davison 1, N. Johnston 2, A. Heaven J. Broad beans, Misses H. Bishop 1, J. Davison 2. Anemones, Miss H. Bishop. Seniors: Sausage rolls, Mrs Bishop 1, Mrs Ben von 2, Miss M. Davison .‘i. Peg-bag, Miss M. Davison 1, Mrs L. Hill 2. Broad beans, Mrs Chalmers I, Mrs Bishop 2, Mrs Mclntosh 3. Anemones, Miss M. Davison 1. The hostesses were Airs W. Bishop, Miss H. Bishop and Miss D. Dell.
