FRENCH PUBLICIST’S ASSERTION.
RELATIONS WITH BRITAIN. - - ANXIETY AS TO REAL AIMS. (Received This Day, 11.45 a.m.) LONDON, November 6. The noted French publicist, Madame Tabois, writing in the “Sun-Referee,” declares that Herr Hitler telephoned instructions to Herr von Dirksen (German Ambassador in London) on October 14 to tell the British Government that Herr Hitler viewed the speeches on rearmament as unfavourable, and to point out that the Munich agreement was concluded with a view to the limitation of armaments, and that since Germany did not intend to use arms against Britain, it was unnecessary to impose the burden of large-scale'rearmament in the British people. On the other hand, if Germany was strengthening her armaments it ivas owing to anxiety regarding Britain’s real plans.
