Mr A. H. Todd, who has been on holiday at Akaroa, and Christchurch, has returned to Ashburton.
Congratulations on his election to the House of Representatives were conveyed to Mr A. N. Grigg this morning by members of the Ashburton High School Board' of Governors.
Mrs F. Buxton, a member of the Ashburton Croquet Club, who will shortly leave here to live in Christchurch was farewollod by members at a social afternoon tea on Saturday. On behalf of the members, the president of the Club (Mrs F. IV. Watt) presented Mrs Buxton with a handbag.
