GLOVES FOR THE ROYAL PARISIAN DOLLS

Replicas arrived in Sydney recently of the globes designed and made by the famous French glove-maker Perrin for the dolls which the Flench children sent to the Princesses Elizabeth and Margaret Rose during the visit oi the King and Queen to France. The group at the t«P left shows: At left, a white kid pair with gold kid trimming for the cocktail hour; (centre), “Charmc,” long white suede bridal gloves with white satin true lovers’ knots mset; (right), white pigskin with black stitching, to wc V with a sports, ensembl from Worth. At top centre is a pan of snow-white doeskin short gloves with silk star embroideries to wear with an ermine coal. At top right,,a pair of brown gloves, suede hack, kid front, to wear with a fur coal from Paquin. At centre left is an exquisite pan of two-sided kid gloves, the back showing cream colour, punched and with insets of tan kid and the button, the palm being of tan kid. At lower left is “Feerie,” elbow- length, gloves in paste: pink suede with inset of gold lame, to be worn with an evening gown from. Vionnet. In the larger group at right are shown (at top) white kid gloves with greenstitching for a sports ensemble from Rochas; (centre), elbow-length kid gloves with appliques in gold kid on hack to be worn with a fur coat from Weill, arid (lower), hockey gloves, white kid palms and crochet backs and thumbs. At lower right is a m de-coloured pair of shorts, stitched in scarlet, to be worn with a sports coat from Jungman.
