SLIP IN MANAWATU GORGE. (Per Press Association.) PALMERSTON N., November 4. After continued rain a further slip fell in the Manawatu Gorge yesterday afternoon, Mocking the mad to Hawke’s Bay from the Manawatu. As the slip continued to move it was impossible to effect a clearance last night, but by 8.30 this morning the road was again open. ROADS BLOCKED BY WASHOUTS. WANGANUI, November 4. Settlers report a large number of slips in the back country. In Waitotnra County, the Rnorikia road is blocked by washouts in two places, and washouts at Paparangi have also interfered with mad eominunieation.
