The Rev. Angus Mcßean will conduct the morning service in connection with the jubilee of the New Brighton Methodist Church to-morrow. Mr Mcßiean will return to Ashburton in the afternoon, and will preach in the Baring Square Church in the evening.

It was reported last night that the condition of the Chief Justice (the R.t. Hon. Sir Michael Myers) was much the same as when he was admitted to hospital on Thursday. Ho may not- he able to resume his duties on Monday as previously announced, and if so there prohafily will lie a- further adjournment of the session of the Napier Supreme Court. The Gisborne quarterly session, which was to have opened on Monday, has been adjourned until November 18. when Mr Justice Blair will take the session.

Mr W. IT. Price, manager of the Wellington branch of the Union Steam Ship Company, will sever his connection with the company at thte end of next month, after over 50 years in its employ. There were only a few small boats when lie joined the company and he has seen it grow through the years to its present strength. Mr Price was educated at the Otago High School and joined the company in January, 1889, at Invercargill. He Inis served as manager at Greymouth. Nielson, Invercargill, Timnru and Christchurch and in 1930 succeeded the late Mr W. A. Kennedy at Wellington. He will continue to jrcsidb in Wellington after his retirement (says a Press Association telegram).
