WOMEN’S DIVISION.
THE MITCHAM-ROKEBY BRANCH. The October meeting of the Mit-cham-Rokeby Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union was held at Airs Ziegler’s residence, Rokeby. Airs Copland (president) presided. Mr Ziegler gave an interesting and instructive talk on public speaking, for which lie received a hearty vote of thanks. It was decided to again judge the school children’s home flower gardens. Competitions resulted: Bloom, Airs Penney (Iceland poppy) 1, Airs Ziegler 2, Mrs Hampton 3. Scones, Airs Penney 1, Airs Hampton 2, Alesdamos Copland and Ziegler (equal) 3. Mrs Ziegler was hostess, and was thanked for the use of her home.
