THE METHVEN CLUB. i CLOSING OF THE SEASON. The Methven Miniature Rifle Club closed its season on Friday evening, when there was a good attendance. The psual standard of shooting was maintained and some very close scoring registered. The principal match was the final for Mr H. E. Richards’ trophy (best three shoots out of four; all with a total of 240 to shoot off on a rehandicap). Results :

M. Holland 76, 79, 80, 76 (3) 238; J. E. Carr 80, 80, 80 (3) 240; AV. Lumsden 79, 79, 76 (6) 240; A. Cooks]ey, 76, 67, 78, 7f> (20) -240; T. Middleton 74, 77, 77, 76 (7) 237; F. J. Wh-tson 70, 76, 72. 70 (18) 236; R, A. Haskett 75, 78, 78 (9) 240. Shoot-off—Carr 79 (1) 80, Lumsden 76 (2) 78, Cookelew 78 (7) SO, Haskett 78 (2) 80. Final—J. E. Carr 79 (1) 80, Hasket 75 (3) 78, Cooksley 72 (7) 79. Carr also won.the two club trophy matches, possibles being registered in each case. The next best scores were: Aliddleton 79, 77, 159, Lumsden 79, 77 (2) 158, E. J. Watson 72, 76 (9) 157, Holland 79, 80 (2) 161, Aliddleton 76, 78 (4) 158; Lumsden 76, 77 (3) and Haskett 74, 78 (4) 156. / In the two Hotty Button matches, Carr again registered the possible of 80 in each match. Next in order were: Lumsden 77, Aliddleton 76 and 77, Haskett 75, Holland 76.
