COLLIE DOG CLUB.
ANNUAL MEETING AT METHVEN. At the annual meeting of the Methven Collie Dog Club the president (Mr R. C. Todhuntcr) presided over a good attendance. The resignation of Mr F. W. Fagan, after 20 years’ service as lion, secretary, was received with regret. Mr Fagan was elected an honorary life member, and it was decided to make him a .presentation in recognition of his services, this matter being left in the hands of Mr T. S. Harrison. A motion of sympathy with the relatives of the late Mr C. H. Watson in their bereavement was carried in silence. Mrs W. T. Pollock and Messrs J. Trumper, J. F. Poff, G. L. Nell, W. T. Pollock and F. W. Fagan were elected life members. The election of officers resulted: Patron, Mr Hugh Ensor; president, Mr R. C. Todhuntcr; vice-presidents, Messrs T. S. Harrison, A. McLeod, J. Morgan, J. Scott, W. J. Halliday, R. Low, T. Quested, P. Ensor and F. Fagan; lion, sec (pro tom), Mr W. F. Ross; headshepherd, Mr W. I). Grieve; timekeepers, Messrs T. S. Harrison and R. C. Todhunter; judges’ secretaries, Messrs L. L. Richards and Ray Grigg; committee, Messrs T. S. Harrison chairman), W. Carney, F. W. Fagan, W. Grieve, b. Richards, G. Taylor, D. Middleton, D. Clifton, W. F. Ross, J. Harmer, D. McKenzie, W. Logan, H. Harrison, D. Harrison, P. Ensor, D. Ensor, L. Clark, L. C. Anderson and J. Rouse.
Messrs R. C. Todhuntcr and W. F. Ross were appointed delegates to the Canterbury Championship Association. The following was carried as a remit to the Canterbury Association: “That this club would like the Association to go into the matter of outstanding fees.”
