JEWISH MAYOR WOUNDED. SOLDIERS INJURED BY LAND MINE. (United Press Association —Copyright.) JERUSALEM, October 27. The Jewish Mayor of Tiberias, Zaki Alhadeff, was shot and seriously injured when entering the Anglo-Pales-tine Bank. Four bandits were killed in attempting to escape from search by the military at Tirah, near Haifa. Notices posted in the mosques in Haifa threaten anyone applying to the military for travel permits. A British officer and two soldiers were injured by the explosion of a land mine on the plains of Sharon. REBEL LEADER FOUND DEAD. WELL KNOWN AS A POET. (United Press Association —Copyright.) JERUSALSM, October 27. The body of the well-known poet and rebel leader, Ibrahim Abdullah, was found at Tamra. Nearby were three rifles, two pistols, a banner and important documents. It is presumed he was killed in the mopping-up operations east of Haifa on Tuesday.
