MISSIONARY UNION.
MAYFIELD PRESBYTERIANS. The monthly was held on Thursday afternoon in the church. Mrs J. S'. Freeman presided over ~ good attendance) Three new members were welcomed,. A motion of sympathy with Mrs A. A. C. Lion, of Springbum, in her bereavement was carried in silence. Arrangements were made for the next meeting to be held on November 24, and to which an invitation has been extended to the members of the Carew branch and the Mayfield Busy Bees. A missionary letter was read from Miss M. A. Melrose, of Ruatuhuna.
Mrs Edmond read a letter on the life of AViliyred Grenfell, the doctor of Labrador.
