CHRISTCHURCH - ASHBURTON: Usual 3.50 p.m. train for Christchurch will leave Ashburton 4.44 p.m., Show Grounds 4.56 p.m., and arrive Christchurch 7.15 p.m. Connects at Ralcaia with Methven Branch train. Special goods train (car attached) will leave Ashburton 7.10 p.m. for Christchurch. It will not connect with Rakaia-Meth-ven train. The 7.10 a.m. Christchurch-Ashbur-ton and 11.10 a.m. Ashburton-Christ-church trains will stop at Saleyards Siding to set down passengers for Show. Grounds. Somers District Nell’s Bus Service from Staveley on Tuesday, Bth November, will connect with the Timaru-Christchurch special train leaving Ashburton at 9.42 a.m. and arriving Christchurch 11.15 a.m. On the return journey train leaves Christchurch at 6.30 p.m. arriving Ashburton 8.7 p.m., connecting with bus leaving Ashburton station at 8.15 p.m. Return Bus fares to Ashburton: From Staveley, 7/6; Mt. Somers, 6/6. Specially reduced rail fares' from Ashburton to Christchurch, viz., 8/6 first-class return and 5/9 second-class return, available for day of issue only.
