LATE COMMERCIAL.
PROPERTY PASSED IN. PROTEENA MILLING LAND AND PLANT. The bidding for the freehold property of the .Proteena> Milling Co., Ltd.*, in Tinwald, which was put up for public auction by Messrs J. T. Thomas and Company this afternoon, was not keen and the property was passed in at £1750. The bidding started at £llOO and was slow to make the price at which it was passed, in. The property is one of the bestknown grain stores in Canterbury, being for many years operated by Messrs Friedlander Bros. It has a frontage of two chains to McMurdo Street and three chains frontage to the Main South Road. The store contains approximately 23,100 square feet of floor space. There was a small attendance at the sale.

SALE OF HORSES. There was some keen, bidding at the horse fair conducted by the National Mortgage and Agency Co., Ltd., in Ashburton this afternoon.
