BISHOP CONSECRATED.
THE RT. REV, G. V. GERARD. AN IMPRESSIVE CEREMONY. (Per Press Associate NAPIER, This Day. At an impressive ceremony this morning the Rt. Rev. George Vincent Gerard was consecrated Bishop of Waiapu. He was attended by the bishops of the Province of New Zealand, there being a large gathering of clergy, laity and the public present.
The consecration service was conducted by the Primate (the Alost. Rev. Dr. Averill). The bishop of Christchurch (the Rt. Rev. C. West-Watson) was the preacher for the day.
