HOUSING SCHEME.
SETTLEMENT AT MOUNT ALBERT (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, October 27. Under its housing scheme, the Government has purchased two blocks of land in the Mount Albert Borougn, totalling about- 33 acres and containing about 138 sections, on some of which it is proposed to build two-unit houses. It is expected that there will be at least 150 houses. Contractors have started on the work of roadjng and providing _ services, and it is expected that within a few months a start will be made on the houses. A feature of the scheme for the settlement will be children’s playgrounds and community garages.
