THE BRITISH NAVY.
THREE NEW VESSELS LAUNCHED, (United Press Association—Copyright.) (Received This Day, 9.20 a.m.) LONDON, October 26. Three new navy vessels were launched yesterday. At the Hepburn shipyard the flotilla leader Kelly, which belongs to the K class and is one of eight ordered in the 1937 programme, was launched. H.M.S. Jackal, the first of the J class destroyers of the 1937 programme, was launched at Clydebank from the yard of John Brown and Company, where another of the same class is under construction.
The third launching took place *at Barrow, the vessel being the submarine Thistle of the T Class.
To-morrow H.M.S. Jupiter, which is a J class destroyer, will be launched at Scotstoun.
