Return passenger trains leave Ashburton 4.0 p.m. (Saleyards Siding 4.25 p.m.), 4.22 p.m. (Saleyards Skiing.4:3s p.m.) and 4.32 p.m. (Saleyards Siding 4.45 p.m.) and arrive Christchurch 6.7 p.m., 6.20 p.m., and 6.33 p.m. respectively. The usual 6.40 p.m. Rakaja-Methven train will leave Rakaia 7.5 p.m. and arrive Methven 8.1.7 p.m. Should the races be postponed the special trains between Christchurch and Ashburton will NOT run. Tickets at cheap fares will be issued to Ashburton from Christchurch-Tim-aru and intermediate stations, and from stations on Methven Branch, by trains arriving Ashburton up to 10.50 a.m. on 6th June. These tickets will NOT be available for travel by the 8.35 a.m. Christchurch- Dunedin mail train nor for return by the trains leaving Ashburton for Christchurch at 3.37 p.m. and 6.5 p.m. MR FARMER 1 is the time to do your AUTUMN TOPDRESSING.
