Alatebes in the third round of the Davis Cup contest resulted as follow: — At Brussels Lacroix (Belgium) defeated Sawhney (India), 6-4, 6-3, 6-4; Mohammed Ghans (India) heat Naeyaert (Belgium), 5-7, 2-6, 6-3, 6-1, 9-7. At Budapest Henkel aind von Metaxa (Germany) heat Dallos and Asboth (Hungary), 5-7, 6-1, 8-6, 6-3.

At Paris France eliminated Italy. Bolelli and Pellizza defeated Tarom and Quintaville, 9-7, 6-3, 6-4. At Budapest Germany eliminated Hungary. Meta xa. defeated Gallos, 6-2, 3-6, 6-3, 6-2. Germany will meet France in the semi-final of the European zone.
At Brussels Lacroix and Deborman (Belgium) defeated Mahommed Ghaus and, Sawhney (India), 4-6, 3-8, 8-4, 7-5, 6-4.
At Belgrade Sehroeder (Sweden) defeated Pallada. (Yugoslavia), 7-5, 1-6, 6-2, 6-2, 6-8. 6-3.
