RUMOURS DENIED.
DON BRADMAN’S FUTURE. NOT ENTERING POLITICS. .United Presß Association—Copyright.! LONDON, May 28. The cricket writer of the Australian Associated Press says: “Arising from Bradman’s fluent topical speech-making and grip of current problems, rumours are current, especially in Foreign Office circles, that he contemplates entering politics. This he has flatly denied, adding: ‘The idea isn’t even at the back of my mind.’ ” The remark of Mr R. G. Menzies (Australian Attorney-General) at the Marylebone Cricket Club dinner, “If Bradman enters politics I hope he will come in on my side,” seems partially responsible for the suggestion. Bradman has met socially a number of Foreign Office officials, who are surprised at his interest and quickness of perception in international affairs .
