THE HUNT CLUB.

/ OPENING MEET AT ASHBURTON. NO KILLS ON SATURDAY. The opening meeting for the 1938 season of the Ashburton branch of the Christchurch. Hunt Club was held at Stringfellow’s corner, Dromore, on Saturday. No kills were made, _ although several good runs were obtained, and the hounds hunted well under difficult conditions. The scent was very patchy. A feature of the hunt was the large number of young enthusiasts who followed the hounds.
