In the semi-finals of the women’s singles at the Surrey lawn tennis tournament Miss Dumb defeated Miss Wynne (Australia), 9-7, 7-5; Mrs Wills Moody (U.S.A.) defeated Miss Scriven, 6-2, 5-7, 6-3. DAVIS CUP MATCH. (Received This Day, 10.10 a.m.) BERLIN, May 20. In the Davis Cup contest, Metaxa (Germany) defeated Haanes (Norway), 2S, 5-7,‘6-2, 6-3, 7-5. ITenkel (Germany) boat Jenssen (Norway), 6-0, 6-0, 6-1.
