SAMOAN DELEGATION.
ARRIVAL AT WELLINGTON. (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. The Samoan delegation arrived at Wellington this morning from Auckland and were met by the Minister of Lands (the Hon, F. Langstone), who entertained the visitors at morning tea.
The delegation later called on Mr Savage to convey respects and goodwill, the speakers being Gain Alipa (leader of the Council of District Chiefs) and Mr O. F. Nelson.
Mr Savage was presented with what appeared to be a native club, but which is understood to bo a token of goodwill.
Subsequently Mr Savage , said that the first meeting with Mr Langstone would take place to-morrow, when a number of Samoan problems would be discussed. Ho himself would attend later meetings to discuss other domestic problems with the Samoans.
Despite the southerly weather, the Samoans wore sun lava lavas and sandals.
