MUSIC FESTIVALS.
WORLD-WIDE INTEREST PLANNED. (United Press Association—Copyright.) LONDON, January 20. Sir Henry Wood, Sir Thomas Beecham, Sir Walford Davies, Dr. Adrian Boult, and others are planning an annual five weeks’ music festival for London, the first of which will he on April 23. 1939, at which the finest performances of great music will be heard. The festival are designed to attract visitors from throughout the world. Leading orchestras and music organisations are supporting the festivals.
