DRAMATIC MOVE.
CONTROL OF LABOUR PAPER. MR LANG’S FINANCIAL ACT. (United Press Association—Copyright.) (Received This Bay, 9.5 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. A sensational development in official Labdur circles, last night was the announcement that Mr J. T. Lang (Leader of the State Opposition) had given I notice to the. Board of Directors of the “Labour Daily” newspaper of his intention to call up the principal second debenture of £13,764, together with interest amounting to £3400, and in the event of default he intended to appoint a receiver-manager of the i newspaper. It is expected that Mr Lang will, in due course, quit the Labour movement, and the “Labour Daily” will fall into the hands of the industrial section, composed largely of miners, who for years have contributed largely to the support of the paper. .
