TAKE NOTICE—The Valuation List for the Borough of Ashburton for the year 1937/38 is NOW OPEN for inspection at the Borough Council offices, Havelock Street, ■ Ashburton. All objections thereto must be lett at the Magistrate’s Courthouse, Ashburton, on or before the loth clay of February, 1938, addressed to the Assessment" Court, and a copy of such objection must be left at the Town Clerk’s Office, Havelock Street, not less than 10 days before the next sitting of the saicl Court. THE' Main Highways Board hereby gives notice that on the 23rd day of December, 1937, the Minister ol Transport did approve of the classification in Class 111 of that portion of the Christchurch-Dunedin Main Highway from the north-eastern boundary of the Ashburton County to Hinds. This portion of main highway is now available for the use thereon of any heavy motor vehicle (other than a multi-axled heavy motor vehicle) which with the load it is carrying, weighs not more than 7 tons or any multi-axled heavy motor vehicle, which when carrying a load has an axle weight of not more than 4i tons on any one axle,.
